This song is about a single father who resorts to robbing a bank in order to feed his son.

The tired man awaits,
For the hallowed saints,
To stop his clouded mind,
From making a mistake.
It’s the kind you can’t reverse,
And the kind that’s not rehearsed,
But seek it as he may,
There was no other way.

*So he walked in through the door,
And they all fell to the floor,
He made a snide remark,
About the bank’s décor.
He said “There’s no cause for alarm,
Because no one will be harmed”,
But the teller’s not convinced,
‘Cause the man was fully armed.

Sometimes all it takes,
For someone to raise the stakes,
Is a point of no return,
And a couple of mistakes.
It’s not hard to justify,
Just giving it a try,
But that doesn’t make it right,
Cause I’m not that kind of guy.
But this would be the last time,
I hide behind this mask.
My boy, he looks at me,
And says “Daddy, I’m hungry”
So I’m forced to make a choice,
Between morals or my boy,
And I know what I should do,
But I go with option two.
